Craft Christmas 2010

Well a year has pasted! Wow, how fast, I feel like we just were driving back in -20 degree weather from the farm Christmas 2009. I have put a link up to our Christmas letter at http://seatoshiningsea.blogspot.com and included a set of links to a 2010 Picture Album and links to the old slide show (notice I have updated the front slide show!)

The big events this year include:

John is a senior in high school. He has been accepted into Texas UT, Texas A&M and Baylor and is making his final choices! He has continued to play trombone and is a squad leader in marching band.

Elizabeth is a freshman in high school, running cross-country and singing in the choir. She was confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church. Both John and Elizabeth are enjoying their new privileges of text and internet on their new phones (Dad finally gave in!).

Hannah has continued to play basketball, sing in the choir and swim. She is now in fourth grade. She has come up with a cool science fair project where she has three bird feeders with different food and she is recording which birds go to which feeder.

Jacob has started kindergarten. He loves school and his teacher Miss Rosa. He has been an avid bike rider.

Dad is working in the Schwartz lab developing drugs to help in heart disease. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the best scientists in the field. Tsaiwei and I have finished a manuscript from the work we did in Dr. Briggs’ lab on Cholera and hoping it will be accepted quickly.

And finally, last but not least, Michelle remains at Memorial Hermann Hospital. She was able to take time off to fly up to North Dakota this summer and we appreciate the time we got to visit many of you over the last year. We have been able to go with friends to the battle ship Texas during the San Jacinto re-enactment of the battle for the independence of Texas. We also enjoyed Wings over Houston, especially the C17 demonstration. Thank you for the time we have been able to have together!

Merry Christmas and may God Bless you
