Swim with Squirt
We went to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Sea Turtle Facility in Galveston Texas. It is a great place to see sea turtles up close and now is the best time of year because they have turtles from hatchlings to three years. The research is part of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). They are primarily interested in testing new nets to ensure that turtles can escape unharmed. I think that this is a unknown treasure in Galveston that is great to take the kids and see conservation in practice.
