The Beach in December
Today started out early at 4:20 am when Jacob insisted that he get to eat. After a short cat nap the morning continued and we headed out to pick up John and Elizabeth from a sleep over with some friends. We made good time and got to both Sunday school and the eleven o'clock service in which the kids sang. The morning was perfect, with thin broken narrow lines of clouds running like waves in the direction of the south wind. We took the scenic route down red bluff and back around the lake to grab lunch. On the trip I noticed that it was already 79 degrees out! In fact it eventually got to 82 making this a very balmy day for late December. After lunch we decided to take advantage of the day and head to the beach! The surf was great and the kids immediately jumped in.
While out on the beach Jacob remained very snuggled up to stay out of the wind, though I am sure his first outing invoked new sounds, smells, and sights!
