Sequoia; Big Giants
A place to put everything into perspective. To stand at the bottom of time, God's time. Trees are the sentinels of the mountains. Sequoia are the wisest of them. I wonder what they would say about us? Are we barren and dry kindling dodging the inevitable outcome? or are we creative geniuses finding a new balance with the Earth in our technological age? I am an optimist, and believe that we will continue to find solutions to the problems around us. The real challenge is whether we will do it faithfully, or follow the principles of the fallen man. Sequoia are the gate keepers of a balance, sanctified. We in contrast struggle for the balance in our own personal lives. Few having the freedom of person or soul to guide the species. To stand at the bottom of time, God's time. Hannah, Elizabeth, and John are in so many ways blessed with innocence and naivety about their struggles of the future. Do you remember what is was like to be free? Sequoia is a place that those times faintly echo in memory.
