Ruby's in Seal Beach
One of my favorite memories is going to Seal Beach and eating at Ruby's. The avocado hamburger on sour doe bread is the best. I remember one time after a rainy spell, the pollution was washed out of the sky. The San Jacinto Mountains can be easily seen on a clear day and going at sun set give a spectacular view of the Palisades and Catalina. Why would anyone want to leave this beautiful place I asked myself when NASA forced Boeing to move people to Houston. I am sure that move disrupted many peoples lives that had made life time commitments to the Shuttle Program. Ironically, many of those Shuttle engineers ended up leaving the Shuttle Program and taking on jobs at the Seal Beach or near by Huntington Beach plants.
