Red, Ripe, and Rockin
The Orange County Fair was a tradition for us when we were young. This time we got to see the FFA pigs, sheep, and cows. Hannah was a little scared of the pigs when we first got there, but after one of the students let her into the pen and pet the pig she had fun. Probably the best part was the pig races. John was chosen as the official starter and the little pigs sure knew how to run that circuit! A Boston rhythm group was a lot of fun as we rapped up the day. The fair is a cocktail of sounds, sights, and smells. Color contrast between fine art vs. livestock auctions. Culinary contrast between simple hot dogs vs. beef smokers. Olfactory contrast between dirty stalls and beautiful bouquets.
