The kids have cut the hay in the pasture near the house. A bearing has gone out on the conditioner reel, so we will need to fix that. In fact, Hannah found a pod of 14 babies about 5 inches long.  Also we saw a large cotton mouth snake and a large number of spoon bills roosting in a tree. We also stayed to visit the George Brown Observatory. All three kids got to climb.  Elizabeth was amazing scaling all four sides of the wall.  She made the top on three.  Each side is progressively harder and given that you just got off the previous side, you must be also getting progressively more fatigued. Everybody in Houston goes and it is a big draw for the out of town crowd.  This year was a little anti-climatic because we went on that last Saturday.  I guess all the exhibitors had already left! as the barns were almost empty.  Only a few mules and jackasses were left! Andy wanted to impress some girls over at Vagabond Village.  I just need to get up and stay out of the way of his stunts.  Both Andy and Michael are great skiers.
